Annotation

This degree course opens the doors to the world for you. The programme combines languages, economics and intercultural communication in one course. Students can choose between focusing on Chinese or Ibero-Romance languages and cultures. In addition to an excellent education in the common and business language of the chosen major as well as the second language English, you acquire extensive knowledge of Economics and skills in the field of Intercultural Communication. You will acquire key qualifications such as interdisciplinary thinking, teamwork and cooperation skills as well as a successful attitude towards values and norms of other cultures. The highlight of the LBA course is the integrated year abroad. You study a semester at a partner university in China, Spain, Latin America or Portugal, and then do a company internship in the target country. From the winter semester of 2023/24 onwards, you can start at German level A2 in the Business Communication German major. In the first year of study, you will attend English-language specialist seminars and quickly improve your German skills through intensive language training. In addition to an excellent education in the common and business languages of German and English, you will acquire extensive knowledge of economics and intercultural skills. Note: The previous focus on francophone culture will no longer be offered as of the winter semester of 2023/24. The degree course in Applied German-French Media Communication will be offered as an alternative. Applications may be possible after the deadlines if degree courses still have excess capacity.
