Annotation
Biomedical research forms an important basis for medical progress and is thus regarded as a key science of our society. Located between human biology and medicine, biomedicine deals with the scientific fundamentals of health and disease. It has therefore contributed to a comprehensive understanding of the human body and the development processes of diseases, as a result of which new diagnostic methods and targeted therapies can also be developed in the future. The Biomedicine bachelor's degree programme (BSc) at HMU combines classic medicine with the life sciences and offers an interdisciplinary degree programme with a close link between theory and practice. With a successful Bachelor's degree, you can take on tasks in various healthcare organisations in the broader sense, for example, in applied research and development (e.g. of pharmaceuticals), basic research, analysis, marketing or quality management.
