Annotation

Find out the causes and effects of diseases in the laboratory. The Biomedicine degree programme (BSc) combines classic medicine with the life sciences and offers an interdisciplinary degree programme with a close link between theory and practice. Biomedical research forms an important basis for medical progress and is thus regarded as a key science of our society. Located between human biology and medicine, biomedicine deals with the scientific fundamentals of health and disease. It has therefore contributed to a comprehensive understanding of the human body and the development processes of diseases, as a result of which new diagnostic methods and targeted therapies can also be developed in the future. After graduation, you will be able to apply knowledge of biomedicine in the field of basic research, applied research and development and in corresponding management areas in different professional fields, as well as to generate new solutions and findings together with other researchers. So that these can also be evaluated economically and placed in the context of biomedicine and healthcare, economic issues also form an important part of the course. The degree course is aimed at individuals with a general higher education entrance qualification who are interested in science and have an affinity for solving biomedical scientific questions using biotechnological methods. It is also aimed at students of human medicine who want to switch to a medical research-oriented approach after the first phase of study (with or without M1).
