The Bachelor's degree course in Sports Science at BSP looks at sports from a scientific perspective and has an interdisciplinary structure. Through sub-disciplines such as Training and Movement Studies, Biomechanics, Sports Medicine, Sports Psychology and Sports Education, the Bachelor's degree course offers a wide range of development opportunities for students. It is aimed in particular at sports enthusiasts who have already gained experience as a coach, grassroots or competitive athlete, or exercise instructor. You will learn to make movement and sports interventions and the associated processes effective for different areas and target groups and, in practice as a coach or exercise instructor, to understand problems and to develop suitable solution concepts. The special sports educational and sports psychological role that coaches play in the development of their protégés’ personalities are also explored in detail. Admission requirements
- Qualification for university studies under Section 10 Berlin Higher Education Act (general higher education entrance qualification, subject-restricted entrance qualification for higher education, entrance qualification for higher education at universities of applied sciences or comparable academic degree) or Higher education admission for professionally qualified persons according to Section 11 of the Berlin Higher Education Act (BerlHG) - Proof of a clear sports connection by way of one of the following criteria: (a) Proof of a successfully passed sports aptitude test (state or BSP), or b) Proof of completion of the school subject Sports in an upper secondary school advanced programme, or c) Proof of a current or past team membership in competitive sports - Proof of swimming ability by means of one of the following badges: 1. German Youth Swimming Badge (Deutscher Jugendschwimmpass); Age under 18 years) in silver or higher 2. German Swimming Badge (Deutscher Schwimmpass; Minimum age 18 years) in silver or higher
