The Childhood Education degree programme with vocational and academic elements qualifies students for educational work with children in the context of education and care and combines a university degree with childcare worker training.
Admission requirements
General or subject-related higher education entrance qualification, or additional state examination for acquisition of the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences. - School place at a cooperating specialised academy for social education. There is an admission limit of 50 first-year students per academic year. If the number of applications exceeds the number of study places, the study places are allocated in a local admission procedure.

Fees
Under certain conditions students can be exempted from having to pay contributions. The monthly schooling fee for training is set by the academy for the subject. EUR 67 student union fee per semester (as of: January 2023), plus the costs for the basic vgn student transport pass (www.vgn.de/semesterticket)
