Alternation of theoretical and practical course sections. In the sixth semester, a scientific thesis is to be written in which a practical problem from a field of work is dealt with. The development of the thesis is interlocked with an internship. After submission of the thesis, the degree course offers a work placement up to the colloquium (oral examination for the thesis)

Training within the administration. No direct application at the higher education institution. Degree course starts early September of each year. Applications have to be addressed to the responsible training authorities. In the so-called 'Vorbereitungsdienst' (preparatory stage of training) only those who fulfil the legal requirements for the appointment can be recruited to the civil service. Information regarding the additional appointment requirements (school education, maximum age, etc.), the application deadlines and the application documents to be submitted can be found on the web pages of the educational authorities.
