The Bachelor´s degree course in "Social Work" can be studied as a full-time degree course with 6 semesters and as a dual or part-time course with 7 semesters. The FFH gladly offers support in the search for a practice place (degree programme with vocational and academic elements). With an apprenticeship as an educator and with state recognition, you can complete the part-time course in 5 semesters.
Admission requirements
Admission to the full-time degree course in Social Work is open to anyone who can demonstrate in accordance with § 49 of the Higher Education Act (HG), can prove that they have a general higher education entrance qualification, entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or previous education recognised as a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification and a six-week pre-study work placement in a field of social work or complete it by the end of the first year of study at the latest. (Alternatively, a voluntary social year or a year’s internship as part of the vocational baccalaureate in a field of activity of social work can also be demonstrated.) And for the degree programme with vocational and academic elements variant, an employment contract with a cooperating practice institution in the field of social work. With its large industry network, the Fliedner University of Applied Sciences can provide support in searching for a suitable practice partner.

The tuition fees for the study option with vocational and academic elements amount to 488 euros per month.
