Annotation
The subject history can be studied in the teaching qualification courses for primary and secondary teaching qualification (L2) and grammar school teaching qualification (L3), and can be chosen in the teaching qualification course at primary schools as a focus in the subject subject matter. At the beginning of your studies, the teaching qualification courses at the University of Kassel offer you an introduction to the methods of academic work and academic historical research in all periods. The combination of lectures and seminars allows you to gain an overview of selected topics and then to work on thematic aspects in depth. In didactic seminars on “history culture”, the social relation of occupation with past and history is also discussed; seminars on historical thinking and learning address questions of the transmission of historical knowledge in schools and the public. Practical experience with the implementation of methodological concepts in teaching is gained as part of school internships and in school practical studies (SPS).
