Industrial Engineering is one of the most versatile and flexible branches of engineering. It has been said that engineers make things, whereas industrial engineers make things better. The B.Sc. Industrial Engineering & Management (IEM) program deals with both the creation and the management of systems that integrate people, materials, and energy in productive ways. It covers topics such as process engineering, operations research, supply chain management, engineering design, logistics, project management, and others. During their studies at Jacobs University, students are equipped with the essentials of both the management and the engineering business functions and thus they are prepared for successful careers in industry. The Bachelor program Industrial Engineering & Management has received excellent results in the most recent university ranking conducted by the Center for Higher Education (CHE).
Admission requirements
- Application form (Common Application Form) - Table of the schools and universities attended to date) – Essay - 1 letter of recommendation from the school - Abitur or international equivalent and school certificates from the past 2-3 years - SAT/ACT test if applicable (not necessary if the applicant has a higher education entrance qualification for Germany (school leaving certificate giving right of entry to higher education (Abitur)) - English language test, e.g. TOEFL

Tuition fee
The annual undergraduate tuition for Bachelor’s programmes is EUR 20,000. A single bedroom, a shared bathroom for two students, standard utility costs and internet, plus three meals a day are set at EUR 8,500 per academic year for the 2023 intake. Academic achievement scholarships, tuition deferral and financial aid are available.
