For the shortened degree course (2 years), applicants must have relevant IT vocational training. You can study the shortened degree course in Mettmann and Paderborn. In Bergisch Gladbach and Paderborn, the degree course is also possible in 3 years; then a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (Fachabitur) or school leaving certificate giving right of entry to higher education (Abitur) is required. During the course: quarterly switching between study phases at the FHDW and practical phases at the company
Admission requirements
Internal selection procedure. At the FHDW campuses in Mettmann and Paderborn, the degree course is offered in a shortened form. Applicants must have relevant IT vocational training - this shortens the degree course to 2 years. The course takes 3 years at the FHDW campus in Bergisch Gladbach, where the regular requirements apply (subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (Fachabitur) or general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur)).
Tuition fee
There is also a one-off examination fee to the amount of EUR 1,500.
