The Bachelor course which has been running since 2004, guarantees a basic qualification for specialists in the field of Childhood Education at an academic level. This should make a substantial contribution to advancing elementary education and should mark a first step towards linking Germany to European educational standards in the field of Early Childhood.

School leaving certificate giving right of entry to higher education (Abitur), entrance qualification for studies at universities of applied sciences, or completed, comparable qualification or qualification recognised via Baden-Württemberg testing procedures.; university's own selection procedure according to a point system. Applicants who have already completed professional training as state-approved educators have the opportunity to enter the third semester (see shortening of study time). A pre-study work placement is not necessary, but we recommend gaining experience in day-care facilities or similar.
