Do you want to investigate the physics of semiconductors, laser structures, light-matter interaction, solar cell materials, strongly correlated materials or complex systems? Then take the BSc in Physics in Marburg. Since physics is the basis of all natural sciences, the degree course is accordingly broad. A four-semester basic education, which includes experimental and theoretical physics, practicals as well as a not inconsiderable amount of mathematics, is followed by a four-semester consolidation and specialisation phase. In the specialisation phase, some of the courses can also be taken outside of Physics (Biology, Chemistry or Computer Science…), enabling individual interests to be extensively taken into consideration. The 10-semester combination of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, which is necessary for full education, is offered in 8+2 semester form in Marburg. As a result, flexibility is achieved, which noticeably improves the initial phase of the course, a focus on personal preferences, a semester abroad or the start of the course in the summer semester. An integral part of the degree course is the MarSkills programme, in which you acquire attractive and future-oriented key skills.
