Special courses and a professional internship give you the opportunity to acquire key interdisciplinary and personal skills. Practical relevance and topicality are combined with a scientifically based education. The degree also offers a wide range of specialisation options and the choice of a focus. Key areas of the degree course: - Numerical/Optimisation - Financial mathematics/stochastics - Accounting and Finance - Information and Innovation Management - Market-Oriented Company Management – Economics Information on the extended degree course variant (7 semesters): the objectives of the longer degree course variant correspond to those of the six-semester degree course. You will only receive additional supporting modules in the first few semesters so that you can get your degree course off to a good start even if you have less prior knowledge. These modules concern on the one hand working procedures of university mathematics, as well as elements of school mathematics, which are to be practised again and reinforced. You can find out whether the extended degree course variant can be advantageous for you with the department’s online self-assessment test, which issues a recommendation to you after you have completed the test tasks. The test is voluntary and does not affect your choice or application. In this YouTube video, you can obtain a brief overview of the differences between the two study programme variants. An integral part of the degree course is the MarSkills programme, in which you acquire attractive and future-oriented key skills.
