Annotation
The special feature of the Bachelor’s course in Speech Therapy is the communication of extended specialised knowledge in the area of neuroscience as well as in the elective areas of health psychology and medical education. Graduates are qualified to lead inter-disciplinary teams by gaining academic competence and management skills. You will work on a level with other academically qualified healthcare professionals and be able to academically reflect on your own professional work and integrate the latest findings into the treatment process. In addition to sound practical training, the required academic skills for an academic career are acquired from the first semester. In the training-integrated section, the courses take place on five block weekends in the semester. In addition to vocational training, the associated workload can be mastered very well. After completion of the training and obtaining the state recognition and the professional permit, the full-time section follows.
Admission requirements
The admission to courses at the MSH is free: talent, motivation and discipline count more than the grade point average on the certificate. Punctuality, good performance and commitment during the studies are of great importance. Prerequisites for the training-integrated study programme section: - General higher education entrance qualification, subject-specific higher eduction entrance qualification or the advanced technical college entrance qualification according to Art. 37 HmbHG - Existing contract with a vocational school for speech therapy Prerequisites for the two-semester full-time study section - General higher education entrance qualification, general higher education entrance qualification, subject-related entrance qualification or entrance qualification for studies at universities of applied sciences according to Art. 37 HmbHG - Successfully completed professional training as a speech therapist - State recognition of the professional qualification - Professional licence as a speech therapist - Successfully completed modules of the training-accompanying study section (proof of examination results) - Recognition of non-university modules and internships
Tuition fee
In semesters 1 to 6 (training-integrated study programme section), the tuition fee is EUR 200 per month. In semesters 7 and 8 (full-time section), the tuition fee is EUR 450 per month. One-time enrolment fee of EUR 100
