With My GUIDE, you can run a quick and non-binding check to determine whether your certificates make you eligible to study at German higher education institutions. Please note that the check results apply exclusively to undergraduate programmes, i.e., courses that lead to a first higher education degree. Master's programmes are not included.
My GUIDE: Check your certificates for more than 130 countries
My GUIDE helps you determine whether your certificates make you eligible to apply to study in Germany. In a first step, you indicate the country in which you obtained your certificates. You can then provide information about your school leaving certificate, your grades, possible language lessons or your previous studies. Based on this information, My GUIDE will check your eligibility to apply to German higher education institutions.
Possible results include:
- You are eligible to apply for all subjects at all higher education institutions.
- You are eligible to apply only to a certain type of higher education institution, e.g., a university of applied sciences.
- You are eligible to apply for a certain subject only.
- You do not currently meet the requirements to be eligible to apply to a German higher education institution. In such a case, you may be able to attend a Studienkolleg or take the Feststellungsprüfung (university qualification exam).
